How uShip UK works
uShip’s UK site says customers create a detailed listing with collection and delivery information, dimensions, weight and timing. Couriers can then submit prices, customers can communicate through the marketplace and review provider profiles and feedback before booking.
How Deliverate works
Deliverate follows a similar quote-marketplace pattern but is being developed around everyday UK van and courier work: furniture, appliances, bulky marketplace finds, business goods and other jobs that need a suitable independent driver or van rather than a standard parcel label.
Deliverate publishes a customer booking fee of 15% of the courier charge, subject to a £15 minimum. Tracking and full proof of delivery can be included by the courier or added to an eligible booking for £42 including VAT.
When would someone search for a uShip alternative in the UK?
You may want another marketplace if you want access to a different group of couriers, want to compare a different fee model, or are mainly moving furniture, appliances and ordinary bulky goods within the UK rather than specialist vehicles, freight or equipment.
